The main focus of the Department of Preventive and Pediatric Dentistry is based on early identification and prevention of oral and craniofacial diseases in all children, and especially in high-risk groups. Our Department staff performs specialized dental treatment procedures: early childhood caries complex treatment, endodontic treatment of immature teeth, dental trauma, complicated hypomineralisation treatment and dental treatment under general anesthesia.
The main working areas of the Department are oral health of growing and developing children and the impact of oral health on overall health of an individual. The Department has competence in dental care of children and adolescents under general anaesthesia and treatment of dental developmental defects.
