Kauno klinikos is the only hospital in Lithuania performing lung transplants and the only medical center in the Baltic States offering Gamma Knife radiosurgery. In 2024, the hospital became the first in the Baltics to install an MRI-guided linear accelerator (MR-LINAC). It also established the Nuclear Medicine Research Center with the only cyclotron in the region, and the Human Biological Resource Center. The Diagnostic Radiology Centre features Lithuania’s first PET-CT scanner, along with advanced CT, MRI, ultrasound, angiography, and isotope imaging technologies.
